Description
This Rose is made entirely from Sangiovese sourced from Frankland River. The fruit had just a few hours skin contact so the juice could pick up a light touch of colour, before fermenting to dryness at cool temperatures. Bottled early for maximum freshness.
COLOUR
Bottling in May has retained the intensity of colour in this wine, it’s a super bright pink.
AROMA
Has aromas of musk stick and perfumed red fruits, eg fresh cherries along with a delightful, sweet strawberry compote character.
PALATE
This is a light dry Rose that is ‘Mediterranean’ in style being lightly structured with delicate fruit flavours & savoury characters. It is textural on the palate rather than being overtly fruity. It has delicate strawberry fruit flavours which are well balanced by the astringency from the skin contact. Its gently drying acidity and that very light touch of tannin gives this Rose its good length and pleasingly dry finish.
A great food wine, enjoy with a lunchtime picnic or pizza. Best enjoyed while young; serve chilled.
