Moscato

Our latest release of Moscato is once again an easy drinking, delightfully fruity and sweeter style of wine that is particularly designed for enjoying while young and fresh. The Moscato gets its lovely colour by only allowing the juice to spend a very short time on skins before fermentation. Also, the fermentation period is quite short so that a lot of the natural sweetness from the grapes is retained in the wine and it has a finished alcohol of only 7.4%. The wine was bottled early and at very cold temperatures to maximise its fruitiness and to retain the carbon dioxide post ferment that gives the wine its gentle ‘spritz’.

AROMA

Moscato is a very aromatic wine! It has the distinctive and perfumed aromas of rose water and fresh blossom flowers. It has characters of ‘Turkish Delight’ with hints of musk and candied fruit.

PALATE

This is a delightful wine with loads of fresh, sweet fruit flavours. With an alcohol of less than 8%, it’s light and delicately fruity with sweet pink grapefruit characters and guava fruit flavours. The residual sweetness gives this Moscato its good palate weight and the fresh acidity balances the wine beautifully and gives it its clean finish. This Moscato is definitely a wine to be enjoyed while fresh and young; once it’s well chilled it’s ready to enjoy!
