This Rose is made entirely from Sangiovese sourced from Frankland River. The fruit had just a few hours skin contact so the juice could pick up a light touch of colour, before fermenting to dryness at cool temperatures. Bottled early for maximum freshness.
A pretty, very pale pink with a light salmon pink hue.
Is lightly perfumed, has some ‘musk stick’ aromas along with some light, baked cheesecake/strawberries & cream like characters.
This is a light dry Rose that is very much ‘Mediterranean’ style, being savoury and textural rather than overtly fruity. It has very good mouthfeel with those subtle, baked cheesecake flavours and a hint of ‘cherry ripe’ then a lovely, gently drying astringency from the skin contact. Its good acidity and that light touch of tannin astringency gives a pleasingly dry finish & makes it a good food wine.
Best enjoyed while young; serve chilled rather than super cold.
